Molotov College v1.1 is now available!

Here is a summary of the changes:

• Modified layout for character playbooks to incorporate the character portraits and the inclusion of foldable printouts.
• Edits on characters' names and looks, and "inspirations" are renamed as "touchstones"
• The Hierophant may die and come back once per session
• Guest playbooks by Rae Nedjadi and Charlie Etheridge-Nunn

Molotov College is updated to incorporate the character portraits by Xrystina Marcos into the main text. The character playbooks are meant to be printed on both sides, while each environmental playbook is meant to be printed on a single sheet of paper. There is also a PDF for foldable character playbooks, so that the portrait would be facing outside when folded.

There are some minor edits throughout the main text, with changes to characters' names and looks, and their "inspirations" renamed to "touchstones". When I wrote The Hierophant initially, I had the weak move "die" and strong move "come back from the dead" for the playbook. It was very clumsy mechanically, since the only possible move after dying is to come back to life, and the player has to spend the token they just earned. In one of the playtests, the player controlling The Hierophant had their character die and come back to life (without any prompting from me). In the new version of the game text, The Hierophant now has the regular move to die and come back once per session.

The new version of Molotov College also includes two new character playbooks by guest writers. Rae Nedjadi (he/they) — an award winning TTRPG designer known for creating Belonging Outside Belonging games — created The Tower, a superhero with multiple identities who has to balance the change within them. Charlie Etheridge-Nunn — a writer of superhero comics and TTRPG reviews, and a podcaster amongst other things — created The High Priestess, a magician who can control the demonic aspects of the Phantom Wind.
