Taels of the Heisty Vixens (Folklore Jam 2019)
TAELS OF THE HEISTY VIXENS is a tabletop RPG by W.H. Arthur (@Aryl_Ether on Twitter and itch.io), made for #FolkloreJam. Cover art by Salem '4threset' Chen.
In this game, you play as vixens with supernatural powers, going on heists in a city occupied by colonisers.
For 3-5 players plus a master of ceremonies (MC).
APOCALYPSE WORLD by Vincent Baker and Meguey Baker and BLADES IN THE DARK by John Harper are the two main influences for the mechanics of this game. I also drew inspirations from many other PbtA games, in particular the ones published by Magpie Games.
Update 1: TAELS OF THE HEISTY VIXENS was released in 2019. I have just commissioned some new art for the game, and I have more updates planned for the future, including a MC guide and starter heists.
Update 2: I am still working on a full version of the game. People who have previously purchased the game will be able to access the full version for free.

Install instructions
Download the game, grab at least two 6-sided dice and some pen and paper. Gather your friends around the table and play.

"Vixens" is a very cool read, keyed closely to it's theming and background. There's a lot of cool stories that can be told in the world the author has created, and I for one look forward to the daring heists and "taels" that come from it.
